A brief report from Washington DC on the day of No Kings
Mother nature speaks & we are in the unsubtle part of the story
Hi from Washington DC. For the second time this week, active duty US military are on the streets of an American city I’m in. Earlier it was Los Angeles, where I showed just how not-rebellious downtown LA is. As today June 14th is the official Man Child Pageant featuring a Non-At-All-Compensating-Showcase-Of-Big-Boy-Toys, I thought I’d promote the No Kings events happening peacefully around the nation and share my on-the ground experiences in this, my place of birth and hometown. Much appreciation to Pope Leo for offering a different message today and modeling better leadership.
Mother Nature had something to say about this whole thing last night.
And today I posted this.
A reminder: No Kings is the point. The U.S. Army was born to resist monarchy. We are in the unsubtle part of the story in which empire reacts and thrashes and hurts the innocent. This is a distraction from a Big Bogus Bill that steals from our future and sells off our legacy to private interests. But we remain focused. To paraphrase Lakota elder Loretta Afraid of Bear Cook, Be Courageous. That sets conditions for Justice which sets conditions for Freedom which sets conditions for Peace.
We don’t cling to kings. We cling to each other. Let’s remember US.
Never underestimate the rebelliousness of the American people.
You realize that it is an Army 250th Birthday Parade right? It had nothing to do with the protest when planned, the Army didn't make up it's bday randomly, hence the 250 years of it lol The protest however WAS planned to coincide with the parade. So, it's just that you have it backwards Sir. by the way, Im not MAGA nor did I vote for Trump, but I do know about this event and wanted to share.
