Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! For reminding us that “something beautiful is possible”. I have too many emotions and thoughts and not enough words to adequately express them, so I will simply say Thank You and share your video for others to appreciate as well.

What an incredible experience. My son is Lummi and Upper Skagit and we’ve been watching closely as Children of the Setting Sun has been establishing an interactive museum and teaching center here in Bellingham. It’s already amazing. Thank you for your words of peace.

Thank you for sharing this, Baratunde. The structure and timing of your presentation were masterful… the way the poetic posture unfolded alongside the history and truths you spoke made the performance profoundly eye opening. Your reflections on interwoven Black and Indigenous resilience, and the acknowledgment of generational pain, landed with both gravity and care. I was especially struck by the poetic commentary on the trees and how you honored their life and presence, reminding us that everything in this world has intrinsic value beyond human use. Witnessing your energy in the video was a reminder of how storytelling, presence, and truth can shift perspective and invite a more beautiful way of being together. Truly prolific and deeply moving.
