Hi,
There’s a lot happening in the world from shenanigans in Congress (Menendez, yo!) to climate catastrophes to Biden’s dog biting more Secret Service agents (because they are delicious?)
Amidst all this I want to remind you, I have a television show on air. Sometimes I move so fast through life even I don’t stop to be like, “Dude, you’re on TV!” And the things I get to do, learn, and experience are about so much more than the vanity of having my face in public. I’m making this America Outdoors series with PBS to showcase stories of people’s connection to nature and how that connection has transformed them.
In the most recent episode, airing tonight and available on-demand from today on, I traveled to Oregon and had an unexpectedly transformative experience myself. It’s the most personal, vulnerable moment I’ve shared in public. I made a short IG reel about it without spoiling the moment.
Each season is six episodes. Tonight is episode 4 featuring Western Oregon. Next week we have Utah, and we bring it home with Maine.
Here are the ways you can watch:
in the PBS app (I call it “The People’s Streamer”)
on the PBS America Outdoors website
in Classic Mode via your local PBS station.
on Apple TV
And I’ve built a watch guide full of links and references to the people and places I visited as well as ways you can get more involved.
Thanks!
Loved this episode on Oregon, especially your moment on the tree climb. When you started crying, I cried too!! Like a baby!!
WOW! What an incredible moment!! Please forgive my racist and intolerable ancestors.
Their terrible persecutions were inexcusable.
I love your series. You have opened my eyes and heart so much. If you ever decide to visit Twin Falls Idaho, look me up. It would be an honor to show you my home.
Sincerely, Fred House

I cannot tell you how much I look forward to your shows. You just open my eyes to so many amazing things in the world of nature. Your insights are wonderful as is your sense humor. Consider me an ardent fan.
