Al Jazeera is a good source, and Prof. Timothy Snyder also recommended it.

I've already seen US news media using recycled photos that they do not say are old. People in the comments find them or recognize them. One that was supposedly of a huge group of Iranians "celebrating" in a square was actually from a funeral years ago.

Thank you for posting this! Our news feeds are pathetic, not good for anything but maybe sports and entertainment. It is truly sad that I often go to Substack and even Instagram to find trusted sources that are more than opinions. Joyce Vance @joycevance and Jennifer Rubin @jenrubincontrarian are 2 of my favorites.

The TLDR News channels on YouTube (or Nebula) are good for short form explanations of what's going on. There's TLDR News Global who has been proving good context in the lead up to this conflict. Also for the US policy perspective Pod Save the World is a resource I listen to/watch.

Well, CNN’s days of good reporting are over, now that Paramount owns both them and CBS. Maybe Ted Turner should buy it back??

From quite awhile back and I dont remember the reason, I'm not sure of Al Jazeera and don't use it at a news source.
